Zezinha & Jon: A Portuguese Wedding Feast

"We got married last September in Portugal in a beautiful old manor house from the 16th century, near the area where I grew up, which is in the centre of the country, about an hour away from Lisbon. Jon is a chef, so food was a huge part of the wedding for us. We designed the menu together, incorporating Portuguese ingredients with Jon's cooking methods, and had four chefs, all friends from London, flying in to cook all the food. We had both families helping out the week following up to the big day with all the decorations and stationary, and we were also lucky to have a good friend who is a floristry designer making all our flower arrangements.

We had an afternoon civil wedding, where we exchanged our CRED Jewellery fairtrade gold wedding rings. Then followed cocktails and canapés, a feast for dinner and dancing into the early hours! Our first dance, "Chapel of Love" by The Dixie Cups, was sung by two friends, and we got everyone to sing along! The next day, we took all the guests to a lake nearby, where we had a little picnic set up, and relived together the happy moments from the previous day. It was the most wonderful and unforgettable weekend! :D

We chose CRED because we wanted to wear sustainable jewellery. My engagement ring was already vintage (from Doyle & Doyle, in New York), so we thought it would looks amazing with the Deco Sweep CRED wedding band. I couldn't be happier with the result, and Jon also loves his Engraved Court CRED wedding band."

Thank you both, and happy anniversary!
